1. What is the difference between a New Student Appointment and a Returning Student Appointment?

 A New Student Appointment is for students that applying to DSS for the first time. Once you are registered with DSS and have attended your New Student Appointment, you can schedule a Returning Student Appointment to meet with your Disability Management Specialist if you have questions about your accommodations later!

 

2. What can I expect from my New Student Appointment?

During your New Student Appointment, your Disability Management Specialist will discuss any barriers you may experience in the educational environment and determine which accommodations are approved to provide equal access.

Once accommodations are approved, you willl learn how to activate your accommodations each semester and how to request your Course Accommodation Letters (CALs).

 

3. How do I know who my Disability Management Specialist is?

Your Disability Management Specialist will be assigned to you after you have applied to DSS.

 

4. How can I view my upcoming DSS appointments?

You can view a list of your DSS appointments by clicking on the "Calendar" button.
